The Story

Our Guest Curator: Ellen Marie Bennett

Ellen is an old friend of mine, and of the Estate. She's cooked in my kitchen, and I've watched her turn an ordinary evening into something you didn't want to end. She started as a line cook, sewing aprons for the chefs beside her, and built that instinct into Hedley & Bennett — the aprons hanging in every kitchen that matters, and now a line of tools made with the same devotion.

What I love most about Ellen is her nerve with color. She's never met a shade she couldn't use. So this week's box is hers entirely — a bright, beautiful haul of produce, a nod to her Mexican heritage, and everything you need to cook a meal for someone you love. Fish tacos. Guacamole. Dates for dessert. That's the whole point of a kitchen, if you ask me.

I'm so proud to welcome Ellen as our guest curator this week. Cook her menu for someone you love. Better yet, make them wear the apron.

Deliveries made on Fridays, Los Angeles only.
